A Board Level Executive with extensive knowledge in both corporate and small to medium businesses, working within the Defence, Security sectors. Acknowledged as a natural leader with excellent communication skills who can manage change effectively, both in growing and flexing businesses when required. Ability to engage and create strong lasting client relationships whilst maintaining a first-class operational capability.  A proven track record of on time delivery backed with 28 years’ experience in Supply Chain, Commercial, Operations and Programme Management. Previous client facing and contract management experience includes roles at BAE Systems and Thales, amongst other blue chip defence and security businesses.

Director

Chrys joined the Enspire Group in 2020 to develop the Group’s growth strategy and lead the company’s domestic and international business-winning activities. He brings a deep understanding of the defence and security sector and has a proven track record of growing innovation-led institutions. Starting out in military vehicle research and development, Chrys has worked extensively with government agencies throughout his 44-year career. A mechanical engineer by profession, he has held senior leadership level positions in the Land, Sea, Air and C4ISR domains. Previous experience includes roles heading up QinetiQ’s operations in the US and a range of senior sales and marketing positions in organisations including latterly the UKs Transport Research Laboratory (TRL).

Dr Robert (Bob) Stephens

Acting CTO

With over 30 years’ experience in the defence and security industry Bob provides both practical and technical expertise to the Group’s offerings. His early career was spent in the Royal Engineers leading, and working as part of, multi-disciplinary civilian and military teams managing design and construction tasks, often in austere environments. During this period, he gained experience working with all three services. Latterly Bob’s career has concentrated on the research and development of explosion and ballistic protection (EBP) solutions, both within government and commercially, along with providing consultancy advice for the integration of EBP measures in government and commercial developments. He is a Chartered Civil Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers and Principal Member of the Register of Security Engineers and Specialists.

Neil joined Force Development Services in 2016 with a focus on generating new business with Police and Law Enforcements clients. He brings 30 years of front-line experience served with the Metropolitan Police Service during which 18 years were spent with SCO19’s Specialist Firearms Command. Having held a variety of operational and firearms instructor roles, he is able to bring significant value to our clients through his deep understanding of their mission objectives.  Neil has a passion for ensuring those who put themselves in harm’s way to protect us are equipped with the best possible capabilities.

Finance Director

Mark brings over 20 years’ experience as a senior Finance leader having fulfilled roles as Finance Director, Financial Controller across different sectors including Defence, Security, Aerospace, Financial Services, IT, Fast Moving Consumer Goods and On-line Retail. In addition to his FTSE 250 company experience, since 2015, Mark has been working exclusively with SME’s applying his insights to improving business performance and supporting business growth. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CGMA).

Established in 2009 by former members of the UK Special Forces offering specialist tactical equipment and training.

2014

Acquired by Enspire Solutions to augment their specialist blast and ballistics proposition and introduces a broader portfolio of products, specialist services and solutions.

2016

The Metropolitan Police Service acquires our Armed Response Vehicle Tactical Intervention Shields (ARV TIS).

2016

UK aviation security sector adopts our proprietary developed software analysis tools and our in-house subject matter expertise.

2019

Recognition of firearms and explosives training rolled out in UK Airports.

2020

Aviation sector implements our blast and ballistic mitigation measures.

2020

Development of next generation Vehicle borne intervention systems commences (VBIS).

2020

Enspire Group established (Force Development Services Limited, Enspire Solutions Limited and Plecos Technologies Limited).

Early 2021

Partnership with Police Scotland and the Scottish Police Authority established to develop specialist capabilities.

March 2021

Staffordshire Police becomes the 32nd UK Police force to adopt our ballistic shields.

April 2021

Delivery of our 40th Vehicle borne intervention system.
